Jeanmarie Perrone, MD FACMT Professor, Emergency Medicine, Medical Toxicology and Addiction Medicine Initiatives Director, Center for Addiction Medicine and Policy Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania
BIO:
Jeanmarie Perrone, MD is a Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine, the Director of the Division of Medical Toxicology and Addiction Medicine Initiatives, and the founding Director of the Penn Medicine Center for Addiction Medicine and Policy. She is a national leader in efforts to address the opioid epidemic and developed a program for substance use treatment from the Penn emergency departments and from a novel, low barrier telehealth program serving Philadelphia and the region. She has partnered with harm reduction organizations to disseminate drug information locally and nationally to mitigate the risks of overdose in local communities.
